Local Security Company Unveils
Green Initiave for Clients & New Headquarters

BALTIMORE, MD - Jan. 10, 2008 — Eclipse Security, Inc., a provider and integrator of security technology, announces a new comprehensive green initiative to coincide with a headquarters relocation to 502 South Sharp Street in Baltimore City.
 
 “As our client base continues to grow, we felt it was crucial to move our headquarters to an improved strategic location that allows us to provide our clients with greater convenience and more face-to-face service,” says Aaron Kahn, director of business development for Eclipse Security, Inc. “Our location in the Federal Reserve Building provides us with a highly secure environment to protect our client’s information and is centrally located to many of our customer sites,” he continued.

The company’s comprehensive green strategy begins at the corporate level and continues through the manner in which they do their installations.  As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) on the local and national level, Eclipse Security, Inc. has become an industry leader in customizing security solutions for clients who are working towards a Leed Certification.  “With an increasing amount of our clients asking us to design green solutions, it was only appropriate for us to take a look at how we do things ourselves,” said Kahn. 

In addition to offsetting their carbon usage via Native Energy they strictly use recycled paper for all proposals and marketing.  “Focus Payroll has even provided us with a payroll solution that makes it mandatory for all employees to utilize direct deposit where pay stubs can be downloaded and printed when needed. We really took a hard look at all of our business processes and chose to do as much as possible.”

Jim Braccille, director of operations, has also required technicians to recycle all possible materials from customer sites including batteries, electrical components and most importantly cardboard.  “Almost 100% of security equipment comes in individual cardboard boxes and when we are installing hundreds of cameras at just one location; the amount of waste is beyond belief,” said Braccille.  “This is only the tip of the iceberg,” continued Braccille.  “We can take a traditional security system and do so many things differently in terms of integration, types of equipment and overall functionality when we have an environmentally conscious customer or project.  We are quickly learning that there are no boundaries to how we can utilize our knowledge of the security industry and apply it to all aspects of a green building.”
